Welcome to our public consultation website.

This public consultation website has been produced as part of our community engagement regarding an Outline planning application, which will be submitted to Lewes District Council, for a proposed development of up to 180 homes at Land off Turnpike Farm, Ringmer.

We are preparing an application for the proposed development which will include the following elements:

  • Provision of up to 180 new homes, including affordable housing;
  • Provision of circa 4.73 ha of useable public open space;
  • Provision of a high-quality landscape approach to Ringmer which enhances biodiversity;
  • Create new vehicle and pedestrian emergency accesses from the B2192;
  • Sustainable drainage solution with features to support and enhance biodiversity;
  • Overlooked, well designed streets, including speed calming measures and appropriate off road parking standards;
  • A package of measures which ensures the future dwellings are resilient to the impacts of climate change and deliver modern energy efficient homes; and
  • Richborough recognises that appropriate financial contributions will be sought to improve local infrastructure and services.

As an Outline planning application full details of site layout and appearance of the development will be subject to future Reserved Matter applications.

This consultation website provides details of the Site, background to Richborough (the applicant) and details of the proposed development.

All feedback that we've received will be reviewed which will be used to inform the final application submitted to Lewes District Council.
